A protogée of Julian Patrick and Cornelius Reid, Amy Cheifetz has taught at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City (AMDA) since 1998. She also has an extensive private studio . Her students are currently performing on Broadway, off-Broadway, National and International tours and Regional houses across the United States.
